About
Cristina is a creative documentary film producer and director. She co-founded the NoCut Film Collective based in Romania, Italy and India. She also works as a producer with deFilm, Romania. Alumna of DocNomads MA, Berlinale Talents and Aristoteles Workshop. She completed her BA in Cinematography in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Cristina sees filmmaking as a collaborative and transcultural undertaking and she is interested in working with emerging filmmakers from Eastern Europe and the Global South.

Matryoshka (documentary) - Directed by Maricarmen Merino Mora, in editing; co-producer. Premiere planned for 2024/2025. A mother-daughter dialogue in the quest of finding their own voices.
Zero Hour (documentary) - Directed by Nachiket Guttikar and Deeksha Ketkar, in production; co-producer and co-writer. Premiere planned for 2026. An intimate portrait of a politician from a deceptively quiet Indian village.
Mailin (essay / animation / documentary) - Directed by Maria Silvia Esteve, in editing; co-producer. Through archives and mixed media emerges the story of a girl, who for 15 years suffered the abuses of a priest that justice has set free.
Playtopia (documentary / essay / hybrid) - Directed by Bara Jichova Tyson, in development; co-producer. A playful exploration of power, money, hierarchy, and inequality through the eyes of children from all walks of life.
Green is the Fire's Tint (working title) (documentary) - Directed by Cristina Haneș, Isabella Rinaldi and Arya Rothe, in development; co-producer, co-director, cinematographer. A second part to "A Rifle and a Bag".
